A year-end show might be a suitable way to spice up our mundane lives. As the year 2023 drew to a close, the year-end show of Wu Xiaobo, a popular financial author in China took place as scheduled. Marssenger made a surprise appearance in that show, displaying what an ideal kitchen should look like.
Wu Xiaobo’s year-end show is themed Composure Above All where he shared his predication for a new quality of life.
The show was organized into two chapters. Chapter one is called "Meeting 2023: Finding the Composure of the Era"where he revisited the past year with a new perspective, talking about what composure is and the six principles of composure. Chapter two is called “Looking into 2024: Survival is Victory” where Wu shared some economic observations from his field research on companies and proposed eight predictions for 2024.
One of the key "predictions" is what he called "Moving Beyond Basic Needs to Embrace Improvement." Wu believes that the consumer market has quietly shifted, with consumers focusing more on quality of life and experiences. There is a significant surge in demand for life-enhancing consumption. The Chinese consumer market is transitioning from a period of "buying to meet basic needs" to an era of "buying to improve life quality"
According to a survey by Red Star Macalline, which covered 50,000 households across 7 cities and 35 stores, 40% of those surveyed needed bare-shell renovation while 60% needed refurbishments and partial retrofit. Among these renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, and balconies were the top places of retrofit. Especially among the younger demographic, 83% of them are willing to pay for design services.
At the year-end show, Wu revealed his kitchen for the first time, showcasing a striking contrast between before and after renovation. His renovated kitchen is an example of a better lifestyle.
A New Look for an Old Kitchen: Marssenger’s Solution for the Ideal Kitchen
"How do you sell an integrated stove to a household that already has all the kitchen appliances?" This question is as tricky as "How do you sell a shirt to a man who already owns a dozen shirts?" Wu answered this question by drawing his own experience.
Old kitchens face a variety of problems including an overwhelming number of cooking appliances with single functions such as range hoods, stoves, steam boxes, ovens, air fryers. The more appliances there are, the less space available. Marssenger combines multiple functions into just one square meter. “With Marssenger, many things can be ditched, saving a lot of space.” Wu said.
Additionally, Marssenger's modular integration easily adapts to kitchens of various shapes and sizes. It can be customized according to customers’ preferences and needs. It doesn’t require extensive countertop modifications. Even in a fully furnished home like Wu's, it only takes half a day to transform an old kitchen into an ideal kitchen.
Oil fume is also a major challenge for old kitchens. In Wu's memory, a kitchen where chili peppers were stir-fried could retain that smell for two days, so he was impressed by the Marssenger integrated stove that could totally solve this problem. In a video shown on-site, Wu was cooking skillfully when the oil fumes generated by the chili peppers were swiftly drawn away by the Marssenger integrated stove before they could spread. With Marssenger, open kitchens also have no problems with oil fumes.
Starting from every small detail, Marssenger has introduced a series of solutions to old kitchen problems. Marssenger is like an experienced chef who knows his way around the cooktop. Marssenger’s innovations make home renovations easier and more practical. Wu said, " I not only bought a new shirt but also bought an integrated stove."
In an era that values freshness and change, kitchens too must keep up with the trends instead of clinging to their old appearances. A single renovation can make you fall in love with your kitchen like Wu Xiaobo. Looking ahead, Marssenger will continue to fulfill its mission of "making kitchens better" with high-quality products and services, bringing new life and vitality to kitchens.
